End of the day its always what this entire team has been about the past 7 years.

Come playoff time will the big guns show up or not.

Because 0.8 ppg aint gna cut it. Take a look at drai or mcd or kuch's performance in the playoffs. Then look at our big guns.

Next season we can figure out the defense and go from there. For now the big guns need to come through and that will be enough for a second or third round success.

I'm not too worried yet. He hasn't had a real clunker since he's been back, his winning percentage is all world since the return; maybe the positive side is that he got this one out of his system now as opposed to a couple of weeks from now.

If I'm being honest, I'm more worried about what our blue line is going to look like for game 1 of the PO's.

I missed the game, but noticed Nylander had 0 points. How was he looking tonight? He might choke away getting 100 points this season.

Nylander has looked abysmal for some time now.

He's back to the lazy player of yesteryear instead of the hungry player he was most of this season.

It's really frustrating watching him glide around out there.


Case in point, 30 seconds left and NJ clears the puck down the ice. Nylander saunters back to collect the puck behind the net and skates it up the ice.

Idk about you guys, but I've never seen a player skate faster than a puck can be passed up the ice.

Just lack of hustle out there all night long.

Samsonov has had a terrific second half.. he was truly awful tonight. One of their PP goals was a late faceoff that Meier lucked into and the other two goals were very stoppable shots but Samsonov was unable to react to a fairly basic top to top circle one timers. Neither hit particularly well.

Leafs aren't ready for the playoffs. FLA won 4-0, THAT'S how a team shows they are ready for the playoffs.

The goaltending is a BIG issue. Samsonov is awful. I was at the game tonight and f*** was he terrible. Woll is even worse. Not looking good going into the playoffs.

Can just as easily let the goalie off the hook and blame the PK for those goals.

Well, our Leafs will have to win all three road games and win at least one game at home.

The way they played D, and in goal tonight, we get swept IMHO.

It just feels like the Leafs try to force things and sometimes get overly aggressive at home. They play a simpler game on the road for the most part and the line matching is out of Keefe's hands

Then again, they had a top 3 home record last year before laying an egg in the playoffs, so who knows lol

I was told Panthers would suck the rest of the way. Clearly they want home ice.

Or, in a more likely scenario, they went on a 10 game cold streak and it balanced out and are now back to playing like they have for most of the year.

The Leafs who have been really good for 30 games must continue to stay hot if they want to compete with either them or Boston.

I am not all that worried about Samsonov having a terrible game. He has been really good since Jan 1. I think the wise move is to go back to him Saturday and prove to himself and everyone else that tonight was a terrinle one off

I was at the game…he is dog awful. I have been saying it for years, he is a terrible goaltender. The team is not going to win anything in the playoffs with either of those two goaltenders we have. They are the two worst goaltenders in the NHL.

How is it possible for a pk not to pressure the puck, not to block the passing lanes and not to block the path to the net all at the same time, it's like some kind of magic. And at least Edmundson is a large pylon.
