This game was the tail of two goalies , one was robin hood stealing the game , the other Cinderella day dreaming about prince charming .

You are one of the ones that tried to tell me his play wasn't a concern when I first brought it up.

It hasn't gotten better save for 1 game against NJ which means nothing because it's NJ

Marky is a underrated goalie. 8 shutouts is pretty good, even if he is playing behind a good team. But he is not even on the Vezina radar.

Swollow the Crapricciosa and on to the next game.
 
I had to watch this game sparingly because of Button. Glad it was one of the ones i didn't see much of.

Unfortunate because i expect better from TSN.
 
about 2 weeks ago I told you guys Jack had struggled over the previous 3 weeks and his play was becoming a problem and most of you were in denial and didn't want to accept the fact that he was becoming an issue because at that point his play had not yet cost them games.

Well we are getting close to 5 weeks since he started to struggle and save for 1 game against NJ, which means nothing because it's NJ his play hasn't gotten better, in fact you can make the case it's gotten worse.

Last night he cost them the game.

The 1st, 3rd and 5th goals can't go in and people are going to make the excuse that he was screened on the 5th goal I don't care 5 goals on 26 shots is NOT good enough.

It's time for Jack to pull his head out his ass and get his shit together.

And that doesn't mean beat Vancouver and Seattle to shit the bed against Pittsburgh or St Louis.

That means beat Vancouver and Seattle, because they should and then do his job and pull his weight against Pittsburgh and St Louis actually give his team a chance to win those games which he didn't do last night.

A high number of weak shots from the perimeter is not how you win games, you get zero points for outshooting the other team. Campbell was bad, but he faced more high danger chances than Markstrom did until the game was already over in the third. We simply made it stupidly easy for him.

Keefe - No more 11F 7D, just stop. We're always terrible when you do that as the lines become a mess.

Also might not want to replace your only grit with nothing when expecting a gritty team.

Both of them need to go? holy Jesus, the usual is expected after a 6 game win streak followed up by a bad loss. Overreaction Night in HF. Jesus I'd love to hear who you'd want to replace them.

Man oh man how I love to be a Leafs fan. I guess a few of you haven't noticed we are on a record breaking pace this year.
We also have a yearly Rocket challenger who's arguably the best scorer in 30 years.

Goaltending is bad you say? The kid who is supposed to be our backup or 1B at best was a freaking ALL STAR this year. That kid who can't shoot? He's on a 82 game pace for just under 40.

Or how about the old guy we named captain whose game is clearly regressing? Ya, he is a PPG player while shutting down the other teams best players successfully night after night.

I guess it's true, we really do suck. Blow the damn thing up ;)

Seems like we played the whole first period short handed. Add in a few stinkers getting by Jack in the second and there you have it.

Credit to Calgary though they took advantage.
 
I fear that rather than giving him confidence, the All star selection made Jack feel like an imposter

Seriously show me any defence man who doesn’t make mistakes. The question is does it end up in the back of the net. Usually no. He was one of the only decent players yesterday on our D core

Package up Holl plus a pick for Mayfield if possible. He was atrocious yesterday.

I can't figure out why Keefe decided to roll into Calgary, an obviously physical team, with 7 D, Simmonds out, and Clifford not in the lineup.

We were absolutely toothless last night. Great to see Mo step in for Kase, but probably not the right moment for that. Kase needs to keep his head up to stay in the lineup.

Well that was a good awful game and some god awful goaltending by Jack.
I sure hope Mrazek can rise to the level that some here have said he can.
I don’t think we can rely on Campbell to lead us thru the first round of the playoffs

The defense was fine, goaltending was not

Overall the Leafs were the far better team, this loss is a combination of Campbell's poor play and Markstom stealing the game.
 
I’d give tomorrows game to Mrazek, he’s been playing a lot better than Campbell as of late. Let Mrazek roll a little.
 
Big 3 issues continue, 1. Big time goaltending, 2, dman who can take forecheck pressure and block shots, 3, toughness.
