Who gives up a buzzsaw prospect like Grebenkin and a first for a third liner? Brutal. What was he doing on Mackinnon's goal? I was convinced this guy put money down on Colorado tonight. Apparently they were chasing this bum for the better part of 4 seasons. Why? With the amount of assets we gave up yesterday we should have gotten a couple first liners... not a third liner that will be out of the league in a season or two.

He’s an okay player that was overhyped for a team to silly spend on at the deadline. For a team that looks like it’s going nowhere, you don’t need to spend premium assets to bring in someone who won’t have much of an impact.

Tried to do too much there. Bad decision by him in that spot on the ice. They closed him down and he made the wrong play... obviously.

The thing is, the game isn’t about a Mitch Marner showcase. It’s to win games. So bad job Mitch on the game losing penalty to power play. It undid all the good he did earlier.

I thought Carlo really settled in mid-way through the 1st and the Carlo-Reilly pairing actually started clicking by the 3rd

The PK looks much better with the new additions

The 3rd line looked awful

Holmberg doesn’t belong on the 2nd line

If any of our D get hurt we are in big trouble because Benoit-Myers just isn’t it

Goaltending looks shakey for a 2nd game in a row

It could have been 7-3 after the first period. The game could have very easily looked like the Vegas game. Only one goalie made saves to keep his team in it and the other didn’t.
