There are times when I wish this league had a soft cap so we could spend our way to a Cup.

6-4 through that December stretch is pretty good.
I would say that more than half of those wins came on the heels of phenomenal goaltending though.

Did someone tell Knies he is only allowed to dump the puck in or something? Like wtf? He rarely tries to make a play on entries anymore.

He needs the xmas break more than almost anyone on this team.

He did make a nice keep in and a little play in the high slot that resulted in the second Nylander goal.

Ah, you're new around here? We tried that from 1968 to 2004. Minus the cranky Ballard years I guess. Spoiler: We failed at that too.

Leafs were never consistently big spenders even up until 2004. Even in their Quinn “glory years” the Leafs were usually in the second tier behind Detroit, Colorado, Philadelphia and New York Rangers for some inexplicable reason.

Someone has to be the 1st star, why not the goalies?

This isn't an isolated game, Leafs haven't played strong defense for a number of games now. Can't just be result oriented when you are winning games due to your goalie stealing them as the players are not showing up.

I prefer the nice 3-1 wins. They score a few goals against a weak team like Buffalo and they get loose with their assignments. Game in and out they don't start on time.

No post game effort post since I'm at a friend's watching this. Just some notes.

Absolutely dogshit effort from every D except Benoit who looked locked in and OEL. Tanev and Mo were flat out atrocious.

JT has to stop playing like a bitch against his former team.

Woll shows flashes of greatness, but then has games like this that tell me he needs more time to 'get it'.

3rd line didn't score except McMann but looked pretty good.

On Matthews, some disclosure, please!

Peg the Jets Monday and all is forgiven, 2PM start = excuse to day drink.

Stopped watching after the 1st period. Could see how it was going.

At least I got 2 Tim Hortons picks right with McMann and Nylander scoring. At 6 consecutive days, and 1 more away from free corridor the week.

More upset about the Steelers loss today than this one. Could see this one coming off a back to back, with Matthews hurt, and the way Woll started the game.

Thankfully no one got hurt and we move on to the next one.

He has been calling Vancouver home games since last season, but didn't do any national games until this season.
Oh wow. I used to love listening to him go back and forth with the overdrive crew. They had a good rapport.

The team needs the xmas quickly. Wheels are falling off.

Yep he switched to the Canucks this year. I miss him. He is quite good.
If you ever get some spare time , search old intermission videos of Ferraro as a player. He talks and sounds the exact way he does as an analyst.
