Post-Game Talk: Leafs Lose 4-2

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
What really gets me is how Matthews, Marner, and Nylander are going to be all over the record books for this franchise and all they'll have to show for it is one series win. And no real regular season accolades either.
I wish we could write them out of our history

They’ve given this fanbase nothing to look back on fondly ever.

Score some f***ing goals, get some f***ing shots. We got outshot again, we got outplayed until the end again. We couldn’t score a pp goal again, we couldn’t stop a pp goal against again.

You just shit on goaltending regardless, no one should take you seriously because you have such a biased way of viewing games
Only in Toronto can we have 4 guys in/around the top 10 in salary and be a totally average team.

Couldn’t believe how popular an idea that was. Sometimes I wonder if I’m watching the same team as those people.

There is nothing wrong with adding a 28 year old top 4 6 5 RHD signed for 3.5 x 3. That was a good move any time of year.

Minten was barely ppg in his d2 year in the whl and quillan looks better.

I don’t mind this. At least they didn’t spend
1,2,3 on foligno and like all the mid round picks for Rittich the Anaheim guy a guy who didn’t play for us.

Or 1 2 3 4 for o Rielly and accari for like 10 games.

Thats what kills you. I would rather trade a first for a top 4 d for 3 years then multiple seconds and thirds

and you never blame the goaltending you just guive them as pass.;

tjey could give up 10 goals on 10 shots and you would STILL blame the defense

May be the new core is more about hockey and less about the money

just look at this Allen quote

I saw that and immediately thought about how our core guys are only really ruthless when it comes to contract negotiations. As if the difference between making $4 million more over an 8 year contract is worth it when all said and done you'll have made well over $100 million in career earnings anyway.

Ordinary team is ordinary. Kids playing men tonight which is why they have Oreo and Milk on their jerseys.

They really needed to go with something that promotes toughness. Something like Stihl, Carhartts, Finning, Smith & Wesson (lol). Anything would be better for the image than "milk and cookies".

Hiring a rookie GM in Dubas was a big mistake for Shanahan. Haphazardly firing him and replacing him with Treliving may be an even bigger one.
Hiring Shanahan was the real mistake. That carnival barker has been here for 10+ years and has overseen every single failure during that time. The fact that patient zero still has a job would be mind boggling in any other organization but this one.

It's weird, the chemistry is gone. It's like everyone just met. Let's call it a slump. Even when they find their direction our Leafs have issues. Matthews is playing hurt and can't score the puck. Rielly's game is slipping and he's become a liability. So even when we right ship. Trouble ahead. It's going to be a interesting off season.
This is why I didn't want to trade a first Rd pk and we have up two .

Changes need to happen next yr.

Picture it now brother. Jersey retirement MONTH, every Saturday for a month they retire 44, 88, 91, 16, and 34. And the yuppies and their spoiled children give them Maurice Richard standing ovations. Don't believe it can happen?

This isn't your uncle's Toronto, this is the Peoplekind Toronto where wanting your team to try hard or God forbid win is too mean, please be kind and just accept nothing for your money and attention. Thank you.
