McCabe has been making terrible reads on the pk. we allowed three goals because he decided to leave the front of the net when we have no other d-man back. This is also something Keefe need to address but like the powerplay, we won't see any adjustment.

Both he and Marner need to come to the middle. Fine they're in the pile, but it can't be an easy lane to the net for the B's.

Also a pretty routine save Sammy just needs to handle

Domi-Matthews-Bert-Nylander-HailMary (Rielly/Lily)

Domi/Matthews/Nylander can all hustle and win the board battles. Marner doesn't engage in board battle or puck recovery; Tavares is too freakin slow.

Just look at other teams hound the puck on PP specially near the boards and tire out PK

We just don’t pass the puck well enough, good power plays have puck movement not necessarily good player movement. Making slick passes isn’t our strong point, we only make telegraphed passes half the time.

Boston handily outshot the Leafs until the last 7 odd mins and the final shot counter read 34 boston to 30 Leafs; and Leafs had 5 PPs

I didnn't see one Bruin not hustle, and not be willing to take a hit to make a play or get the puck out either. Its a total team buy in. On top of that Boston had 2 freakin' rookies in their line up with their first "playoff" game ever

They are a great team built for playoffs it is clear. Leafs will need some miracle type stuff to win this series.

They can't score. The Leafs cannot score goals in the playoffs.

ESPN was just breaking down the Leafs penalty killing. 3 Leafs along the boards and not taking the body, created a 3 on 1. Soft, dumb, and pathetic.

The question is (and I know every team makes mistakes and that is why almost every goal is scored) Is this a coaching issue? Or is it just low IQ, or being prone to panic?

I know guys make a lot of stupid mistakes when they don't have failth in their goalie. You do stupid things to try to prevent any shot on net, and by doing so you get yourself out of position and give up a high danger chance.

The Leafs have had so many different players PK in the past few years that this has to be a coaching issue no?

I’m not mad at the team, they are what they are. Poorly constructed and imbalanced.
I am however mad at myself for allowing me to get sucked back into hope after a good game and a great performance by Sammy the sieve. I was almost convinced that they could go ahead but 18 dam seconds later it was all gone.

Special teams and goaltending, the two biggest things in the playoffs are costing us this series. Both need to be addressed in the off season with a new coach and a new goaltender.

I think Claude Julien would be a great coach. From all reports he expects total accountability for every player on the team which includes your leaders holding other players accountable in the room. He does this with respect for every player which results in respect for the coach by the players.

The powerplay has a lack of shooters, especially with Nylander MIA. You have Matthews or you have a garbage goal. And Matthews always is in the same spot. That's not hard to defend. You have to hope that one of Rielly's or Marner's floaters lands at the feet of a garbage goal opportunity.

Blaming Samsonov, Liljegren, etc., is all well and good, but we have only scored 20 goals in our last 10 playoff games.

We have one of the most stationary powerplays the league.
