I find it hard to criticize a fluke thing like hitting the door.

In hindsight, he should have gone back, but I guess he didn't realize the door was open, normally, 99% of the time, that is a 2 on 1, I'd rather him take those chances.

For a superstar, Matthews sure makes some boneheaded plays, like that standing giveaway in OT.

If he makes that play, he’s off to the races for the game winner.

If he doesn’t, he’s depending on the goalie to do his job.

I didn't like that last goal but I think Samsonov played well, the team also played well defensively. Matthews made an uncessarily risky play in that 3on3 that burned us. That was the longest road trip of the year and the team went 3-1-1 so I'm generally okay with it.

Samsonov wasn't terrible tonight, even though he once again let in a softie on the first goal, and he once again let in 3, and once again a well under 900 save% for the game.

But you know what that's not even the big issue tonight.
