I'd say Marner was more awful than Matthews, but does it really matter...

Marner just looked like he had amnesia and had no idea what was going on or how to even handle a puck. Matthews just looked like his feet weren't in the game, he wasn't going to dig in and pucks were rolling away from him.

The Domi era looks like it should come to a close. Max came in last year and played with a nice edge and looked like he could have some nice chemistry with Matthews, but this year it just looks like he just doesn't have it.

Honestly, it is hard to not think our top guys were partying last night in Vancouver bc the whole team was just lifeless and lacked that jump.

Games against Ottawa and Vancouver are automatic losses for the Leafs. No matter how good we are and how bad they are, they will always find away to win against us. They take the games against the leafs very seriously.

3 wins in their last 21 games in Vancouver.

Nothing is as one sided as this since the Philly winning streak against Pittsburgh back in the days.

just look at Marner against bruins series without matthews to really see what marner is really worth IMO

I actually thought Matthews was worse. Turned the puck over a lot, couldn't pick up a pass, wasn't moving his feet... Same as Marner but I felt Matthews turnovers and lack of effort were in more critical areas on the ice and caused the team to have to unnecessarily defend.

Doesn't matter. Both have to be better. This may have been one of the worst games they have had in the same game.

This team is beyond frustrating. The effort and concentration from Matthews and Marner was pathetic. You can tell when those two are going to dog it. We’ve seen it in the playoffs every f***ing year.

Having said that, self inflicted stupidity by OEL. A complete zero from secondary scoring again. When your top players are thinking of their vacation, you need someone else to score. Domi is useless. Robertson spends more time falling on the ice than standing, Holmberg is useless.

I swear if these f***ers put in this kind of effort in the playoffs, Treliving CANNOT sign Marner. Changes are needed.

I've seen all, like 8 or so , straight wins in Dallas which is very hard to do with the teams the Stars have had. Just one of those things

Winning a Cup is not realistic at this point. . They need to go all in to hopefully win round 1 and be competitive enough in round 2 to give them a chance to win that round.
