One of the worst teams I’ve ever seen with the goalie pulled. I can’t remember the last time they scored 6 on 5

Marner vs Caps? 34 with the OT winner.

So let me get this straight. We score 6 in one game and look amazing without the greatest Leaf ever and 4 goals in two games with the greatest Leaf ever in the lineup and playing major minutes.

I mean Matthews is doing f*** all. Isn’t he supposed to be unstoppable with Domi on his line? Considering domi is way better than Marner?

Tonight was Exhibit A Mitch Marner clown hockey. When that guy's head is not screwed on right it's just sub-NHL.

He was very lazy tonight

This is my quick analysis

Domi = Terrible
Marner = Unacceptable
Matthews = Awful
Tavares = Stunk
Willy = Hung over
Rielly = tried to be engaged but was lost most of the game
Robertson = below replacement player
Myers and Benny should be on the bus back to AHL. At this point I'd give Topi a try.
Bobby Mac was doing something
Tanev, McCabe and Woll were the only ones who showed up

No Leafs didn't lose 2-1 tonight.

OEL and one ALONE lost the game.

HE lost it nobody else.

When you take an incredibly stupid penalty that you didn't need to take and it leads to the game winning goal you are SOLELY responsible for the loss.

That's what OEL did. HE lost the game because he took ANOTHER stupid penalty.

He takes a A LOT of those.

No doubt he takes some of the worst penalties.

Yeah he basically sucked, but had a few looks from a shooting perspective and was passable defensively. He had a lot trouble handling the puck, bobbling it and from where I stood the main problem is he wasn't moving his feet so he was lunging for it, always rolling off the blade.

Otherwise known as being a lazy f***er.

Mostly agreed. I thought Reilly was acceptable, at least. Everything else is spot on.

Woll should have had the second goal. I am not putting the blame on him tonight as the forwards were absolutely f***ing putrid. It is becoming very difficult to support Matthews at this point. Running out of excuses.

88 was the best, he was moving out there and had full command of the puck. Bobbled the breakaway but out of them all he was a tier above. But you're right, Holmberg and Knies were among our best and that's not the way to win.

Mitch looked like he was hallucinating out there, don't know if he was on the same reality plane as the puck or the game around him. He was on some kind of Magical Marner Tour all night.

Nylander was being selective of when he was engaged. Not nearly good enought from him either. But he was not as bad as the rest of the clowns.

Thank God we have Auston Matthews what an incredible leader and incredible goal scorer that guy is.

This was a classic example of a game he can’t play in. We’ve seen it over and over again.

Matthews hasn’t scored in 6 games now? I hope he f***ing fails at the tournament next week. If he tees off and comes up clutch for the Americans when he can never do the same for us I’ll lose my mind.

Nylander has to get his head on straight too. Missing chance after chance lately and has been making terrible decisions lately.

Bottom six needs to be completely reworked, again. I can’t stomach Robertson, Holmberg, and Domi out there anymore.

3 assists in game without 16 in the lineup but agree he needs to be better. Let's hope we are in for some entertaining hockey the next two weeks. Need a break from berube hockey.

This team was cruising in first place, 4 points up on Florida with games in hand. Unfortunately they have no killer instinct as usual led by the core four. Wouldn't surprise me if we lose home ice and are competing for a wild card spot. We might win a round before Florida absolutely destroys us.

Tied for 4th in the Conference and 8th overall. Another mediocre season. One and done in the playoffs.

Disagree. When Mitch is at the top of his game he is in control, on both sides of the puck and in all three zones. He was awful tonight, no doubt and had none of those flashes you mentioned.

this was a scheduled loss when hughes become unavailable, than it became a guaranteed loss when demko left. This is how a loser team operates and that is what we are
