It is what it is. Can’t win every game. Got unlucky in the first and could have easily had 3-4 goals. Sometimes that’s just the way she goes

More about the Leafs floating in the 3rd rather then the habs being great. They got a lucky bounce and won by one.

Not much you can do when everything is let go and it only helps the weaker less talented team.

Not much drive in the last half of this game. Maybe they got tired of being hit. Montreal really laid on the body tonight and it seemed to have an effect.

It's clear the Habs believe that physical play against the Leafs is the winning formula. They outhit us 46-14.
That's not the reason they lost, but, it's probably the Habs M.O. It could be a factor if they employed such an approach in a playoff series against them.

Price stole it early on to keep the Habs in it and the Leafs coasted a bit. Pisses they couldn’t get it to OT but it happens.
Be nice if the refs called a penalty against the Habs though.
Tough luck on Brodie on the GWG.. loses an edge and the Gallagher was lucky that puck was shot at him to knock it down.
Game could have gone either way but the Habs wanted it a bit more at the end.
Can’t win every game and this should hopefully get Keefe in their ear for this next three against Ottawa so they don’t coast.

Tavares and Nylander are really bugging me. Tavares is slow and Nylander made at least 4 dumps and turn away to avoid contact plays. Rielly needed to handle that puck behind the net better.
The crosscheck parade was alive and well. Amazing how this stuff is OK when the Leafs dominate the period.
I'm pretty sure Matthews got injured somewhere mid-game. Stopped taking faceoffs, and the last minute (despite the 2 kick saves) were unlike him.

Absolute pathetic effort near the end and most of the third. I knew those missed chances in the first would come back to bite us.

First game this year they fully pissed away. With that said they can't expect to win every single one goal game, but they blew a bunch of chances to grab a multi-goal lead early.
