Meh, not too concerned.

New coach, new system, overhauled blueline. There's going to be some growing pains.

But I do expect a much lower scoring team so let's see how the stars react when their stats take a hit.

Where’s the depth. We just lose depth every year. Outside of our top guys we’ve got very little. Which is why we’ve got Kampf, Lorentz, Reaves as a line. That’s probably a sub 10 goal line this year.

Same issues from last year come back in the first game of the season. Lack of scoring and bad powerplays.

Toronto dominated on the shotclock, but they looked sloppy as hell trying to make any plays.

Tough loss but the team actually played really well from the 2nd period on.
Their goalie was very good and Stolars also good early in the game.
Our PP was what really sunk us in this game, just brutal basically each time.
Scoring chances were 32-17 and high danger chances 15-3 while 5V5 while hitting like 3-4 posts.

Notes:

- Stolarz looked real good
- Defensively they settled in nicely
- Played a nice road game overall
- Some bad puck luck and bounces

- PP looked awful, very lethargic
- Too casual with the puck at times
- Not driving hard enough to get second chances

It really looked like a team under a new coach trying to work through the changes. They looked off. But 47 shots and some really good chances overall. Won't complain too much.

PK was strong asides from the 1 goal. The 5 on 3 was stellar.

Honestly glad that dumb streak is over.

Don't have to hear about it anymore.

All the shots... but never really many good ones.

On to the next. Need to go to the dirty areas.

Habs will be really bad. Lucky to win that and Leafs didn't even play that well.

Leafs will be fine.

I'm not doing the end of the world stuff.

Go Leafs Go

PP picks up where it never left off

Curious to see Holmberg on 5-on-3 PK but not Kampf

2nd line is not good and Tavares is a step behind

Timmins not a good game from him.

Rielly off PP1; Also if you are gonna split time between PP, split the talent as well
