Yup, you saw his value on a shift earlier tonight as well. He knocked a TB defenseman off the puck while battling in the corner and it led to Kampf holding it there for 15 seconds while the top line came out. Auston got a slapper out of that (not the best chance, but produced an offensive zone faceoff)

Those kinds of plays are big come postseason team to wear down a defense

He is getting more and more comfortable on the ice. I noticed him the past weeks or so, he is just skating straight to the net when attacking and skating straight to our own net when back checking. I think the coaches just told him to cover the middle of the ice when back checking bc the opposing players will end up cutting toward the net.
