The problem is that a player who is both much better offensively and in a whole other universe defensively would be worth 1.5 to 2 million more in comparison.

That's the biggest problem with Nylander's contract if it goes that high

But if Nylander is given 11.25 over 8, then a player who is both superior offensively and defensively can't be paid the same.
