No matter where he goes there is going to be some level of money going back to the NYI, be it via retention or a cap dumb of some kind.

Cripes I hope the Wild aren't in on him. Would I like him on the team? Sure. I just think it's stupid to waste assets on him for a 1st round exit this year. Yes, even with him, nothing is going to improve in the areas they need to get better to make any sort of run. If anything, wait and see if they can sign him in the offseason. But, if the constant jabber about the team being interested in him are true, that means Guerin and I are apparently not on the same page. Loser.

Yup, pro and cons to him, but yes he is. We’ll see if Uncle Lou sells or resigns him or lets him walk. Also depends on what Brock on his next deal, cap and term wise at his age.

Wild have no way to make a trade work this season money wise. But I'd bet a lot of money on him being on the Wild next season.

Jets shouldn’t move Lambert

Could the RHD be upgraded? Sure but I think its a smaller need then 2C and far more expensive then 3 pairing LHD upgrade. IMO a RHD upgrade isn't worth the it, we need that 2C upgraded bad. Names/Lowry at 2C is not good answers. Lambert (+) wouldn't be moved unless a big fish was coming back with term (IMO), aka I doubt he's moved but I suspect Chevy might be dangling him to see what people offer, if its a offer too big to say no to then ok.

Lambert isn't untouchable but I doubt the Jets move him outside of a package for a legitimate young cost controlled 2C. Nelson is definitely not that.

Isles fans think they're getting a 1st+top prospect for Nelson. Thing is, he's not worth that much and Lou don't roll that way. He wants a hockey trade so it's gonna be Hartman+pick+prospect (not one of the good ones) for Nelson (retained) and that's just the way it goes sometimes.

With the season that the Jets are having and Hellebuyck could win both the Vezina AND the Hart this year, Chevy needs to man up and make an addition or two at the deadline to make a serious run at the cup. There chances to go all the way have never been any higher.
