Have we ever seen the Muzzin hit on Marner?

I assuming it was an accidental two players bumping into each other?

No they conveniently just show Marner lying on the ice. Or the two having their discussion. Or Marner leaving the ice. Just so fans can sit and stew about it and take whichever side they're wanting to be right. Either Marner is a soft cry baby or Muzzin is a big dumb liability in practices taking out his own teammate with a reckless hit.

You would think the way the Leafs are playing and winning lately that they would be putting some distance in the Atlantic standings, however despite going 8-1-1 in their last 10 games both Florida and Tampa Bay have gone 7-2-1 which means the Leafs have only gained a mere +2 points.

If the Leafs lose this game against the Jets tonight even that 2 points could be in jeopardy with their opposition still having games in hand.

Lets hope for some better bounces tonight and Leafs bring back another W.

Happen with Sandin on Marner a few weeks ago. They definitely check during practice. It is a bit suspicious that no video was released on the incident and nobody claims to have seen it. I'm thinking that Muzzin got carried away and the team is just putting a blanket over it to prevent fan backlash.
They didnt even bring Muzzin on the pre and post game interviews. If that isnt news, I dont know what is. Hope the incident doesnt poison the locker room. We already saw Matthew's ripping into the other half of that pair (holl) a few weeks ago for an offside. Maybe there is already some friction

I'm a big picture realist guy, as some fans seem so fixated only on the Leafs alone, and that narrow vision misses what is also happening around them.

Our Leafs have won 15 of their last 18 games which in and of itself is impressive and still Florida and TB are right there with them in the standings.

Woll vs Hellebuyck tonight is not a fair fight, so Leafs are going to need to bring their A game in a back to back to win this one, but this feels like trap game.

If Woll can't go I might actually consider going with Campbell again. Hutchinson is pretty damn close to being a non-option, he's been horrid in the AHL as well this year.

Also there is no way Justin Holl should play this game after last night, but we shall see. Keefe will probably switch Liljegren in for Dermott.

Narrow vision, and missing everything else, kind of like downplaying our 15-2-1 run by focusing in on two particular teams that also had good stretches, and missing that we've gone from 24th to 6th place in the league and put ourselves in a great position.

Didn’t catch yesterday, who played with Matthews w Marner out?

Started off with Simmonds, but Spezza was playing phenomenal. About half way into the 2nd Keefe switched it up and threw Spezza up with Matthews/Bunting. They were easily our best forward line last night, Spezza took a scary looking slash near the end of the game but he looks ok.

Hoping Holl is out, we probably win if he was scratched yesterday tbh. The guy is brutal. Come out with the same effort again, despite the loss the boys played a very respectable game and I'm more than happy with the effort. Probably should have won, but didn't do enough to say they dominated so meh, I can live with it. Carry that same intensity into tonights game and we should get the W. Need another big game from our depth guys. Spezzsa stepped up big time last night, someone else will have to tonight.

so missed the game last night; at least we got a point. Lets get 2 pts tonight and get a move on in the right direction.

It feels pretty terrific to already be 11 points up on Boston.

Detroit is hanging around longer than I thought they would, but I am not too concerned with them. They actually sort remind me of our 2016-17 where everyone expected us to drop off, and they just never did lol Just a solid young team, who has an actual goalie to build around (LOL Carolina)

I wouldn't. Campbell's work load is already far higher than they've likely wanted it so far. He's handled it very well, but that needs to be the case months down the road. Not to mention, he was smoked by Foligno yesterday. Honestly they can afford to lose in regulation. You don't want it, but if it happens, it's really not a big deal. Like their streak ended yesterday yet they were still efficient enough to nab a point. A 15/18 stretch affords a loss here or there. Again, not the outcome you want, but looking at the big picture in terms of Campbell down the road and the huge success of late, not a huge deal whatsoever.

It wasn't an actual hit. Muzzin punched him right in his head for being lazy.

The coach is still trying to figure that out. Simmonds started, but by the end of the game I think Spezza played the most with him. But Spezza is likely out tonight now too right?
