If David Ayres is going to be at the game tonight to troll the team I sure hope that the Leafs have fired his ass and banned him from Scotiabank Arena

I still don’t know what the Canes were thinking by getting rid of their goalies and signing that sieve. Unless they’ve got one in the minors they have no chance at playoff success.

That's the spirit. I've really had about enough of all these Andy's gonna shut us out tonight. He wasn't exactly good the last two seasons here, not worried about him at all.

He may do great tonight, it’s October, but as soon the playoff starts he’ll suck again. I’d like to see them go on a run, but they can’t with him in the net.

I've been avoiding this website like the plague since the last loss. I'm assuming that was smart.

Big game today to get out of the funk. Besides the Pittsburgh game this team has looked very good and just can't seem to put the puck in the net. Let's hope that changes on Freddy 5 hole, but he's been great to start the season (who knew he could play in October?).

Very excited to see a game of Nylander-Matthews. Let's hope they come out big against a good team.

if you avoid this place after losses you aren't going to be around a lot.

don't worry - you'll get used to it.

@Gary Nylund other thread closed and didn’t get a chance to respond on this

“Not sure how Matthews could possibly talk any less than he is. He gets microphones shoved in his face all the time, he has to say something to the media every now and then. It's not like he's going out of his way to be quoted or anything, not sure what you expect from him”

I was in a rush as I was responding in the middle of a busy day at work lol, very brief in my comment and hence context was missing. I didn’t mean that the way it sounded in a literal sense, it was more my response to his quote implying people are making a big deal it’s just game 6. So what I meant was I’ve heard a similar sentiment from him and other leaders on the leafs over the years of how all is fine we’ll be fine, so what I meant was don’t just talk about how all is fine, prove it

Been wanting Matthews and Nylander back together since they got split apart.

They meshed insanely well together in the past. Add to that Marner's funk, and I think it's the obvious decision.

As much as I like Bunting, I don't think he'll be able to keep up with the line. Hope I'm wrong!

If Bunting can't keep up, not many will be able to right now. The LW depth is very thin. Maybe Kerfoot? Maybe you roll the dice on Engvall?

Love that old photo. Just love those small towns
I remember driving by Sudbury back 25 years ago, if you wanted to feel like you were in a small town, it felt small
Loved it.

However, sportsnet goes overboard with some of these small towns

Good point. I guess my feeling is moreso that Bunting's strengths may not be emphasized on this line. But to be fair, I've only seen Bunting this season so I can't pretend to be an expert.

Hope the team can turn it around. I must admit I'm quite concerned seeing more of the same this year. Aren't young players supposed to improve?

Yeah I’m going to hold off the negativity until they start playing like shit.

No mercy though if they don’t start on time.

They dont' deserve my benefit of doubt. I dont get into only 6 games, early in the season new player crap

Perform or you'll face the wrath of my negativity
