Dewar is our top PKer with Kampf since he got here and the PK been great lately. He's not sitting for Holmberg.

It's been great the last two games, even without him on it. You may be right, but I think it would be the wrong call. Holmberg is a comfortably better player and with Marner and Jarnkrok back I would sit Dewar over Holmberg.

K its april fools bullshit lol with Brodie getting the belt...
Heavy minutes and his teammates appreciate the effort.

Playing those minutes against a team like Florida isn't easy. The belt thing is about motivation too, Matthews is trying to be a leader in this respect I suppose.

Brodie should be sitting come playoffs. That's been clear for half a year. He appears to be a really nice guy and they have a place in a dressing room. The question is, about having them on the ice against one of the marauders the Leafs will face this off season

Easing Marner & Rielly back into Wednesdays lineup:

Bertuzzi Matthews Domi
McMann Tavares Nylander
Knies Holmberg Marner
Dewer Kampf Robertson

Rielly Lyubushkin
Benoit McCabe
Edmundson Timmins

Rielly Liljegren McCabe Lyubushkin Benoit Edmundson should be the starting 6. Sorry Brodie Timmins and Gio.
Brodie over Lyubushkin.

I know most people don't like him at the moment, but Brodie plays ~5 mins more a game in tougher matchups. Give Brodie easier matchups and #4 dman minutes if you have to and it'd be better than having Bush play 22+ mins per game.

Who comes out for Marner and Jarnkrok?
Who comes out for Reilly and Edmundson

Reaves, Holmberg, Robertson Dewar?
Brodie and Timmons that’s easy imo

My ideal line up:
Home:
Bertuzzi-Matthews-Domi
McMann-Tavares-Nylander
Jankrok-Holmberg-Marner
Dewar-Kampf-Reaves

Away:
Bertuzzi-Matthews-Domi
Jankrok-Tavares-Nylander
McMann-Holmberg-Marner
Dewar-Kampf-Reaves

D-pairings remain the same Home or Away
Rielly Boosh
Benoit McCabe
Edmundson Liljeren

I'd play Reaves at least for the first couple games whether its boston or florida and then adjust as needed with Knies getting the first look followed by Robertson - if Dewar ain't working out on LW and we need scoring.

Dewar kills penalties while Knies/Robertson don't so he gets the first dibs IMO. McMann has also been out on PK along with Holmberg a few times

PK would be:
Kampf-Marner
Dewar-Jankrok
Matthews-Nylander (to end it)

Because I'm not willing to kiss his ass like A LOT of people here are.

He was unplayable for MONTHS.

He's been so bad that he doesn't nor deserve to be cut ANY slack.

He himself has single handily pissed away AT LEAST 12 points.
Since Jan. 1/24:

Jordan Binnington, 26 games, 2.46 GAA, .923 Sv%, 2 SO, 15 wins.
Connor Hellybuck, 29 games, 2.50 GAA, .920 Sv%, 3 SO, 15 wins.
Ilya Samsonov, 20 games, 2.43 GAA, .914 Sv%, 2 SO, 15 wins.

Why you keep wanting to die on this hill is beyond me. Nobody on this board, or at least A LOT of the people here, were well aware that Samsonov had a horrible start to the year. You were preaching to the converted. However, why can you not see that his play since Jan. has been substantially better?

People were down on Bertuzzi for his play up until a couple of months ago. But he's now potted 13 goals in his last 21 games, and as far as I can tell the general opinion of his play has improved. It isn't a fault to acknowledge that a player can be more than one thing in a season.

They specifically traded for Dewar for his defensive play and PK abilities and our 4th line has been great and PK is improving since then. Dewar isn't sitting for anyone. If Keefe wants someone who can be used up and down the lineup and be a bit more reliable and used on the PK then Holmberg will most likely be in over Robertson. If he just wants scoring and doesn't need a PKer then Robertson will most likely be in over Holmberg.

What I'm trying to figure out is how in the hell he ended up with a +/- of ZERO...

I would hope Gio isn't in the line up for the playoffs, too. Timmins will surely come out and one would hope Keefe would sit Brodie, too (I have a sneaking suspicion that he will actually sit Brodie).

For the forwards, I think it's a bit of a tough call at this point. Each of those guys brings a different dynamic. It will certainly be among the players you listed that will come out of the line up. I don't see Keefe going off the charts and sitting someone like Knies.

I’d rather Brodie than gio tbh, gio isn’t nhl calibre anymore, and if Liljegren isn’t back I’d keep Brodie in, as much as it pains me to say it.

I think one of Robertson/knies comes out for jarnkrok, even if they are better offensive options you need Jarnkrok’s pk and defensive abilities. In saying that, it’s also shouldn’t be certain he instantly draws back in, he’s missed a ton of time 2x and could be off during the playoffs, for a guy who already struggles to score in the playoffs, there is some risk there

You don’t take Reaves out, he’s doing things no one else can. Between holmberg/dewar, i personally take out dewar, holmberg in a pinch can play 3C and even 3W so I like him there, Marner takes away a lot of dewars responsibilities on the pk. My answer changes though if keefe actually doesn’t play Marner pk, and then I’d sit holmberg.

Great balanced game. Fourth line did work especially in the first 40 mins.

Drove the physicality.

PP is a mess
That power play is a problem. They need to figure it out quick. Luckily Marner is coming back. I think?
