Hiller talked a lot about how skating is the most important thing on a team in today's league

He just got a check mark from me for bringing up Cliff Fletcher, peace be with him

Respect

You think check mark for Fletcher and I think, oh Hiller is going to fit in just great with the Muskoka club. Hiller to Pelley, oh yeah I knew Cliffy and the old guard will just seal clap and hired him.

Nepotism at its finest.

he didn't really answer about how he wanted the team to look setup tactically, more about the "spirit" of the team which he keeps repeating.

Didn't like that lol
These things are fluff anyways. What he says today doesn't matter much really, it'll be how he actually handles the in-game stuff.

Which they did not due until the last 3 years with the renovations. Also now with rumours they are trying to sell the team. hmmm.
For 10 plus years before they definately were a cheap organization so much so MLB said they need to get their act together.
In a league with the Oakland As and Florida Marlins I highly doubt the league said the Jays need to get their act together.

The lowest payroll for the Jays in the last 10 years is $166 million (Non covid where the salaries were prorated due to less games)

$258 million in 2023 (Were not selling the team in 2023)

I mean just saying it won't be a 1-3-1 would be reassuring since it was brought up and ignored.

There's no subterfuge here, everything will be on tape in preseason...
He will not be playing a 1-3-1. I believe that was more of an organizational decision in LA based on the personnel they had.
