We have not been top 7-10 in defense or goaltending since December. I think we're probably bottom 5-10 since.

We are supposed to be getting better to prepare for the playoffs, not worse.

And of course that coincides with how great Campbell was playing.

That 7-1 loss to penguins
That other 7-1 loss to penguins a few years back
That 8-4 loss to Florida
Every game 7

It’s like there is some force compelling me to watch and be shocked by garbage performances, more so than outright dominant ones

deep down we want to see them over come all those performances. Leaf fans are die hard. We can’t turn our back on them no matter how bad it’s been. Till they finally do win we’re always going to remember that bad games. I mean they don’t have much to remember on good since they haven’t won a first round since the early 2000’s.

We’re going nowhere without a legit #1 goalie. We aren’t winning shit with this “platoon”.

Looks like all of a sudden Andersen figured out how to play goalie; and Campbell who started hot has slowly cooled down (still there for SV% though)

Bottom Line: This team needs to do better when playing defense. They don't have Vasy in net where they can easily cheat for offense and not worry too much.

The first one he was left out to dry on. The second looked hilariously bad because it was a flubbed knuckle puck that went far side corner behind him because it was Mis-shot. If caulfield gets good wood on it he probably hits mrazek in the crest. Still looked bad, and we need to be better all around.
