We have not been top 7-10 in defense or goaltending since December. I think we're probably bottom 5-10 since.

We are supposed to be getting better to prepare for the playoffs, not worse.

Buddy Andersen was SHIT for over 2 seasons straight. He wasn't the answer either.

Sure, but how can anyone look at Andersen and Mrazek next to each other and think Mrazek was an upgrade.

Carolina got this offseason a hell of a lot more right than we did.

Toronto has great offense, but Tavares and Nylander have been invisible in the goal scoring department for most of 2022.

Our defense is laughably bad. Lilijgren hasn't been good and isn't ready. Dermott is only in to fill space. Holl is absolutely useless and offers nothing beneficial to the team. Muzzin hasn't been good this season either.

Our goaltending has been laughably bad since December 1st save for maybe 3-4 games. Mrazek is absolute garbage top to bottom. Campbell isn't reliable enough to be a #1 goaltender. He'd make an awesome back-up or 1A situation, but he's not performing at a starting goaltending level.

Add all of that up and facing Tampa, Florida or even Boston in the first round? They won't have to worry about coughing up a 3 to 1 series lead because they won't stand a chance against those superior teams.

I was blinded by some of the success this season and long runs of winning, but most of that was superior offense when our defense and goaltending was suspect. Can't do that shit in the playoffs and expect to win... it won't happen.

It was a bad period and happened to come against the worst team in the league. They have to get their head out of their butts.

But yes, you can tell that people have been waiting for any reason to shit on this team like this has been the norm.
