I was referring to the Hartford song, I thought that was obvious, but around here you can’t take anything for granted…….
1968 by some random music composer, not made for hockey. Whalers front office randomly came across it and ran with it mid-70's.

Just do a remix of

Filter - Hey Man Nice Shot.

That's why I say Hey Man Nice Shot.
What a good shot man.

*get rid of the gun reference and use Hey man Have fun 2 times

ahhhh nice shot man

I've used Filter's Hey Man Nice Shot many times for my son's Instagram hockey posts for sure, it's an absolute ripper.

Have to cue it up for just that chorus part though . . . plus I love Filter.

What was it tonight? We didn’t notice it.
Panama, Van Halen. Worked for this Gen X old timer.

I know I bumped this thread but really didn't expect so much action from it lol.. I really just disliked that Hall and Oates song so much, and that's just a subjective musical taste thing, light pop music, ugh... and 5 years runway is enough to complain about it.

So that said, I'll take another 5 years with whatever before I bump a goal song thread again. I don't actually care that much.

Good song.
We found it funny that it’s such a hot topic and we were standing there at intermission asking each other what it was. We didn’t notice it playing at the time.

So far. The song on Saturday is easily the best choice.

We need a goal song fans can chant to (like the Rangers) and the one Saturday is that.

"Willy/Matthew/whoever's on fire. Your defence is terrified"

Song is GALA - Freed from desire. Very popular in footy

they had it right with Monster Truck a few years ago. Not gonna lie, I I crank up Hall and Oates in the car with windows up whenever I hear Dreams Come True. I also have it on standby just incase I win a round of beer pong to piss off my friends. Yeah its time for a change though.

Big fan of The Hip, wish they did some sort of song that could get the crowd goin for a goal song.

As long as I dont have to hear Kid Cudi ever again please.

R.i.p. Gordie!

I voted other:
Gen Z wont understand.

Gen Z probably cant even afford tickets to get into the arena to hear it.

The chorus of "number one spot" by Ludacris would be perfect... The crowd would love it having that pumping loud

For a long time now I've wanted to suggest YYZ by RUSH. just the intro, its an instrumental so no lyrics to worry about. Plus its the code for Toronto's airport. (apparently the intro is morse code)
and of course RUSH is right from Toronto, local talented musicians.

Having to think about the Toronto Airport is an anti goal scoring song..... Play it when the other team scores.
