And as you have been told many times before those sample sizes are way too small to be meaningful. But this 37.5 minutes is your greatest hit.

11 million Marners incredible playmaking didnt result in an increase in hdcf for Matthews and its clear that Marners stats were significantly improved by having Matthews on his line vs not. While Matthews stats generally improved without Marner. When Matthews wasnt with Marner, Marners lines was generally outplayed by opponents (pretty bad for an 11 million dollar "playdriver"). Also, when not with Matthews, Marner primarily played with 11 million Tavares...which furthwr makes his stats without Matthews pathetic.

I don't think we need to draw any hard conclusions about Matthews and Domi in those small sample sizes other than the fact that Matthews and Marner get stale and predictable and lazy at times and both benefit from a reset.
Marner looks a lot better when he takes more charge on a line. Matthews benefits from playing with more sandpaper and power linemates which drags him into the fight.
Keeping them together when they're not playing well and connecting is a sure recipe to make the team feel shallow and short circuit the offense from the rest of the lines.
Marners stats with and without Matthews and Matthews stats with and without Matthews is pretty telling.
Matthews get a little better, while Marners get MUCH worse.
