I think I am one of the few who think Marner/Matthews are amazing together, but the depth scoring is atrocious right now... I think there are two very obvious things they could do.

Knies - Matthews - Marner
Pacioretty - Tavares - Domi
McMann - Minten - Nylander
Lorentz - Dewar - Holmberg

or

Knies - Matthews - Domi
Pacioretty - Tavares - Marner
McMann - Minten - Nylander
Lorentz - Dewar - Holmberg

Top line was good, everyone else was crap.

Not confident against Buffalo either. 1 in 5 times they roll up and beat the brakes off of them, the other 4 they lose.

Simcoe County
They could also step up

Excluding Marner, this is the worst season of nylander in the past 3, the worst since rookie Matthews, and Tavares is just back to being mid.

Those guys are keeping us out of the top 10 in scoring, the depth is keeping us out of the top 5

Nylander is on a near 50 goal pace…

The QC
Minten might be slowing down a bit with the NHL grind

Problem is who do you bring in?

Domi is a big disappointment this season.. he’s suppose to lead the secondary scoring charge and can’t do anything in the O zone
Domi dragged him down. Unfortunate how ineffective Domi's been.

f*** the goals he is on pace for 82 points

Last year he was a much much better player with 98
Year prior again much much better with 87

Goals aren’t better than assists, it’s why the best players are always playmakers, it’s why winners are always playmakers, they drive offence, stats don’t drop off as much.

Points are points

Leafs get crushed again.

Woll is trash.
Woll wasn’t trash but can clearly see the difference between him and Stolarz. He swims past his posts and the tries to make a spectacular save instead of just squaring to the shooter and stay between the posts. And of course another goal on a long shot. He’s clearly the No. 2.

Yep...during Matthews injury, Nylander played with 3rd and 4th liners while Marner was put with Tavares.

Tulsky research indicated success for players is most dependant on linemates and he said who they are matched up doesnt matter much.

Marner once again has only played with Matthews and Tavares.

I for one saw it coming... Both Domi looking like this and Nylander reverting to the mean, which is why I was opposed to signing Domi long-term and giving Nylander $10 million in the first place...

But the guy REALLY frustrating me right now is the captain. He decide now that he's got his contract he doesn't have to try anymore? Or did he blow two years worth of goal scoring chasing 70 last year?

Or... Are players on this team sulking because Berube won't let them go full offense like Keefe did?

The only time in his career Nylander has been playing really above the ppg mark was when it was contract time. That is all done now.

Can you comment on how overrated Point, Rantanen, and Draisaitl are? 🤡

You always ignore this when bringing up Marner playing with good players.

Leafs must be one of the worst 6 on 5 teams in the league this year. Never score but always scored on.

0 point shot threat is still a massive issue. Reilly is a muffin machine joke of a player.

Marner and Rielly being our do-or-die point shot options is a joke

This Toronto team looks lost. Don’t be surprised if they miss the playoffs.

Ottawa is going to make a serious run now. They are looking like they may win the East.
