if he tries it and they do well, he looks dumb for not trying it sooner. if he keeps his lines and they start to click, he looks like a genius for sticking to it. that's what matters to him

I agree...
If he completely changes up the lines ala Kypreos, and they produce, he looks bad......and that would bruise his ego..
I hope that this isn't the case, but listening to what he's been saying it certainly looks that way.

So, at this point he has painted himself into a corner and can't get himself out..

And no, I'm not a coach, not an expert, don't profess to know more than everyone else..
I'm just a fan with an opinion.

PQ really valued Kaberle high if he wasn't moving him for Lindros. Oh man, what could have been. Lindros-Sundin up the middle.

No way I make that trade. Kaberle was at his prime and he was a stud. People remember him for his latter years but forget how good he was

For the very reason you mentioned Flyers backed out. They too realized the potential Lindros playing for his home town with Sundin. He would have gone crazy

Between Clarke and everyone else in the league, I believe everyone else. Clarke was a POS of a player and GM

It sure seems that’s the case. Friedman even took a shot at Babcock saying the same thing

In my opinion, the problems with Babcock have been there since day 1. Basically no one said anything up until now.

He didn't do the right thing when everyone shut up and let him do his thing.

He's not changing them now that people are speaking up.

He's simply not changing.

First shift, Matthews forechecks and comes out of the corner with the puck, sets it up on the tape for and open Hyman ... aaaand the puck is almost immediately out of the zone :skeptic:
