Would rather Tavares takes a few games off in November than play through it and end up in a situation where he needs season ending surgery and has to pick to either miss the playoffs or basically be completely ineffective due to the pain.

Before christmas is not the time to push injuries.

Kase in the top six?
Yeah, I really believe he would produce better if not stuck with black holes in Engvall and Kampf. He also battles hard so he'd get the puck to the big boys and with his IQ he could get himself where he needs to be on the ice.

I do think we need one more strong offensive weapon though. I'd like to see us trade for Rakell still depending on the cost though

Rakell-Matthews-Nylander
Bunting-Tavares-Marner
Spezza/Mikheyev-Kerfoot-Kase
Ritchie/Simmonds-Kampf-Mikheyev/Spezza

I remember that like it was yesterday ... :wg:

Now you went and hit a nerve with that reminder of Dougie Favell as he would go on to become and Leaf a few years later.

Remember this ??? .. The Flyers had just announced the completion of a May 15, 1973 trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The deal sent goaltender Doug Favell and a 1973 first-round draft pick to the Leafs in exchange for the rights to goaltender Bernie Parent and a 1973 second-rounder. Of course Bernie Parent lead the Flyers to Stanley Cups in 1973 and 1974 while winning the Conn Smythe both years.

I have that 73-74 set in a box somewhere.

Just like MacTavish, Craig and the other guy said in the studio... if Ritchie doesn't show up tonight and thug that thang up................... he will be gone, benched in the next game. Period.

Now lets go fools and goons!!

we can also put any of Steeves, Semyonov, Seney, SDA, Robertson (when healthy) or Anderson in if the depth sucks, or (ideally) sign Ho-Sang and get him in

That's supposed to be our shutdown line. Assuming Philly starts their top line, this is fine.

I guess that makes sense but right away you look like a coach trying not to lose instead of attacking.

I don't know... Leafs have had bad starts. Hope it works.

Well, Amadio is not playing tonight.
According to OMEGA stats, when Amadio is playing in the NHL, the Leafs is 5-1.
When he is not playing, the Leafs is 2-4-1.
Leafs is 2-6 against teams who is going to play a former Leafs.
They also have not win against the Metro division this season.
Leafs is still undefeated when they scored in OT.

Since Amadio is not playing tonight plus they are against an ex-Leafs in the Metro division, the chances is not good for the Leafs, unless they get into OT and score in OT.

OMEGA!

OMEGA! OMEGA!!

:naughty:
