I think a lot of people decided they didn’t want Simmonds right off the bat and have been trying to make him fit their narrative. He’s looked good to me in limited minutes, no problem on a third line and brings elements we need. Certainly isn’t a handicap out there, can still skate and he has decent hands.

It’s the same thing with Vesey.

Both have been totally fine. Solid additions so far.
