At the end of the day... imagine having to score 4 or 5 goals every game to win. LOL
Time to watch a team of Kaberle's go to work?
Man we could use a couple of thoseMarkstrom with a timely save.
When we consider cap hits, it's arguable that Matthews has underperformed more than Andersen since they both returned from injuries.Matthews doesn't have the skater equivalent of a sub .900 sv% though even with his subpar play during his injury
So is being a 1CWhen we consider cap hits, it's arguable that Matthews has underperformed more than Andersen since they both returned from injuries.
Like I said... goaltending is a tough gig.
Their team plays defense and doesnt look lost. Not fair.Their goalie is allowed to make saves.
Not fair.

No, it's really not arguable at all. When we consider cap hits, it's arguable that Matthews has underperformed more than Andersen since they both returned from injuries.

Matthews' injury isn't helping matters, but it's not costing this team games though. This team hasn't lost a game without Matthews in the lineup this season. Andersen constantly being the second best goalie on the ice regardless of who's in net, and putting up sub .900 SV%'s every game, and making a Hutchison start on the second half of a B2B in Ottawa a must win game because he had an .854 SV% in the 3 Jets games... is costing this team games. That's largely true overall. But a month ago we were all saying that maybe the "old" Freddy is back. And maybe he was. And maybe now he just has a nagging injury holding him back, like Matthews does.
Markstrom just made a save Andersen would have 'no chance' on
We should give Mikko Lehtonen a try there... oh wait he's goneThey need to get him off PP1. He's been brutal - every time taking low percentage shots into legs.
