That save there is the one Andersen has failed to make all season.

Attack the puck, read the play and get aggressive.

It's not a huge save, or even all that difficult, but when you're timid and small in your net they go in as an "unstoppable tip"

I mean.. yeah he was. His save percentage was somewhere near .920 in mid-February.

He was 9-3-1. Good gaa.

I'm fed up of Freddy as well. But I also just find it weird that leaf-nation considers "nagging injury" a perfectly reasonable excuse for Matthews, but not Andersen.
it wasn't ever that high from what i remember. He peaked at .909 (which is only a bit worse than I expect from him. He should be .912-.913 for us) before this horrible stretch

His excuse was a groin injury.

Captain is utter trash and our number one goaltender couldn't stop a mutated beach ball if his life depended on it.

This team is a replica of every season. Do well for long stretches, then come back to reality and play like shit for the rest of the season.

Galchenyuk has been on 7 teams for a reason... he's trash.

Galchenyuk has always been able to produce decently.. some years above decent. He's not trash, he's been on teams that toss him in based on draft position and give him the plug and play treatment.

Unfortunately some players, even high picks, need additional coaching and chemistry with their linemates.

This is the first time in a long time that I've seen Galch put in the effort on the forecheck. You can see from his puck placement, breaking up plays, etc tonight that his IQ is quite high and his hands are very good.

I'd love to see this being that confidence back. Even to play up to a 50pt pace from the 2nd line with JT/Nylander would be a huge win

Galchenyuk is a little more rambunctious. His skill level seems like it’s dropped a little though. Seem to remember him having smoother handles in Montreal.

I mean he's not carrying the puck in but his stick handling has been good in tight in the corners. Just a matter of time before he's doing that in front of the net I think.
