Goaltending is definitely a tough gig.

We have Matthews here who's playing through a nagging injury. He's WAY less impactful since returning from his injury. 2 goals/4 points in 7 games. Nobody is mad at him. At worse, people are saying he should rest until he's at 100%.

We also have Andersen who was doing well earlier in the year but he also currently has a nagging injury. His numbers have dropped similarly to Matthews. And everyone here is calling for blood.

He wasn’t

It's hilarious and sad any time Tavares gets in a 1 on 1 situation with the puck. He has no foot speed to out skate anybody.

Look at the replay and tell me. It was clear to me that the puck changed direction, I didn't analyze it any further than that.
The puck looks like it dips in elevation about an inch or 2. This would have made it easy to stop seeing as it went over his blocker. A change in elevation shouldn't impact your ability to stop a deflection. If you are in position to make the original save, it should still just hit you. Sometimes they still find a hole. This one didn't, he didn't track it, and didn't even react to a minor tip that happened about 10 feet in front of him.

The loss today isn't on Andersen, he shouldn't be in the net he can't pull himself.

I agree, but at the same time, it might not be worth risking Campbell playing back to back with his injuries this season, so I somewhat understand not pulling Andersen.

They should have stuck Andersen on IR and rolled with Campbell and Hutch these two games (even with how bad Hutch was against Ottawa.)

When the puck enters our zone I am always on pins in needles. You have to know if the puck is directed to the net, it's going in. Shaking my head in disgust, not just goaltending but the whole way we defend.
ATTACK THE PUCK, too much time for opposing teams to do what they want. Other teams force our puck carriers or points relentlessly. It's the most effective way to play. We dont do it.

Does anyone else notice how difficult it is for us to get a shot on net whenever we are cycling against the other team, but other teams seem to be able to get shots through when they're cycling in our end?
