I’d think so kampf is in , Holmberg’s playing strong it’s gonna be hard to take him out
Take it and run. You never know.Massive win, as it will give us home ice vs LA & Dallas in the finals

I'm glad to see they played the stars.
At $11M a season they should be playing every game. Taking time off when you aren't sick or injured is for chumps. It might be a meaningless game to the players but I doubt it's meaningless to anyone who paid to watch it.
They owe it to the fans to ice the best team possible.
I doubt the ticket prices were lowered for those games they held the stars out. Regular season prices for pre-season games. Nobody wants to pay all that money to watch a bunch of never-wases and never-will-be's.
You think the fans want to see games like that.
I never was a big of fan of load management anyway. Keep the momentum heading into the playoffs is better. Sitting around waiting for the action to begin just leads to inertia.

Oddly enough I didn’t stop watching the game, just kept my eyes glued to the screen the entire time. Also I was trying to explain to my friend the way the Leafs need to play in the playoffs. Weakish Detroit team isn’t much of a measure. I hope they can carry on through Ottawa.

Really curious as to what Chiefs lines will be.
#1 is 23 / 34 / 16 Some Grit & physical. Very tenacious and Great O if 16 does not play on the perimeter and engages
Looks like # 2 is gonna be 11 / 91 / 88. Two burners with JT. Weak D. tenacious on for check, physical but smaller, Great O
I like this one for a # 3, Patches, Laughton, McMahon. Could turn into an identity line. Big, physical with some above avg skill. Pretty sound defensively as well.
For # 4, Lorentz Kampf are a lock. Jarhkrok has looked OK there, but does not really offer physical , tenacious or offense. Great D though. Robbie is tenacious, good offense, avg D. Holmberg tenacious, physical, above avg D. Zero O. I guess a good mix and match.
To me, the weak link (if Patches is healthy) is the #4 RW. What would you think of 11 & 7. Rotate the 3 RW and 3 centres above through the RW spot. You would be spreading those minutes out over 6 players

Reilly Carlo Though Reilly is still having some major brain cramps
OEL Myers I liked it when they signed Myers. Can skate, shoot, and is somewhat physical, though with that big frame he should be more of a banger
Myers is a bit weaker than Benoit D wise, and not as physical. But the O upside edge is tempting

I would say yes if the Leafs play any team other than Vegas.I will only remember you if you take it a step further and predict the cup win.

I have to give credit where it’s due, Laughton showed some skill on that OT goal. Lately he’s showing what Treliving saw in him. Still not worth a first but a big goal some time in the playoffs and I may change my mind.
I agree that the Leafs showed they’re a different team in this game. It meant nothing but they actually cared about winning it regardless, right up to the last few seconds of regulation.
Woll showed why I don’t trust him fully yet, the penchant for weak goals. I can’t think of even one that Stolarz gave up the whole season.

He was entering the slot. Knies set up the play from the sideboards and then went to the slot.
I doubt Laughton would be able react and make a play at game speed.

It was a nothing game. Leafs D were avoiding their usual approach so Woll was basically playing in a high tempo, casual practice game. I take nothing from the game defensively or in the net Leafs.

Hopefully, depth scoring can step up in the playoffs now.

Here's another easy prediction: neither Dubas nor Keefe will ever win anything in the NHL.
I don't think they will either, but because you are wrong so consistently, I am starting to change my mind.
I don't want to bring this down too much... but they are 4th in regulation wins in the East.
They did really well in overtime this year.

I'm not sure it's fair to call scoring in 3 on 3 "clutch". OT hockey is mostly a joke.

Yep it's not serious hockey like 5 on 5 but I'll take any positives in the winning department at this point.
We found ways to win lots of games this year.
