>Jack Campbell, who signed a five-year, $25-million contract with the Oilers this past offseason, has struggled to the tune of a .875 save percentage and 4.04 goals-against average in 14 games. He ranks 69th among 73 NHL netminders this season with minus-11.31 goals saved above expected.

Basically he's letting in one extra goal each game. poor jack

This team is good. We say it every year, but I'll say it again this year, this team feels different. These guys are winning all the statement games.

This lineup actually has character. Bunting, Kampf, and even freaking Engvall are all contributing fantastically in their roles. Our defense are buoyed by two youngsters absolutely thriving with increased responsibility. Our goalies have a double redemption story going on and they stop everything. Matthews, Marner, and Nylander are all playing insanely well.

These are still the Toronto Maple Leafs, the demons are real and the narratives are ever present, but I like a lot of what this team has got. This is a real good mix of hockey players and this team has as good of a chance as any to be the ones that finally break the !@#$igng curse.

Next game bunting should straight up grab kucherov first chance he gets and teach him a lesson that hit was malicious and targeted

the peice of shit kucherov did the same thing to holl and nothing came off it either. this dirtbag keeps getting away with every dirty shit.

he also tried to f***ing injure marner last season at the blueline right before playoffs

Since the Leafs won, it was a nothing burger. If the Leafs had lost, it would have been a statement game.
And I am sure you would be saying it was a nothing burger if they lost! 😉😉😉
But seriously though, that was a statement win and a very sold bounce back gamel

Win a playoff round and maybe I will believe it.

I will say it again, the Leafs had their series stolen against T.B last year. I've lost all respect for that franchise and their coach seems like a real d%&k too so I'm always glad when T.B loses as much as it's nice to see the Leafs win.

Dubas still has some work to do though. Worse when the refs seem to not like the rules when the playoff starts or, they reward the soft flopping soccer players that teams like T.B employ

Go get that 2LW, Dubas.

In the mean time, I wouldn't mind joey anderson get a shot with marner and tavares. Seems to me, he's one of the few players on the team that understand what 'puck retrieval' is.

Said that since the preseason, but Jarnkrok deserves some runway. He has played very well with them, and he has kind of sucked with everyone else so far.

kucherov kicks Marner from behind and hits the back of his knee.

what garbage

Looking forward to tonight being meaningless on sport radio tomorrow because it wasn't a playoff game.

You can be sure though that if the Leafs had lost tonight, they'd be extracting all sorts of meaning from it though.

Well, there should be a couple of suspensions arising from that game!!! Total abuse of Bunting twice! :D

Lovely effort. Team really committed to being on the right side of the puck and playing defence first. So many guys had excellent games. Murr was steady as required.

I would love for Holmberg to get some more ice time. He has a very sneaky offensive upside and is so strong on the puck.

David Kampf is so effing good. Hope Sandy is not out long. The injuries to the D is ridiculous at this point.
