Leafs 2, Caufield 1! Can't believe we were able to beat Caufield. I mean, it's Caufield. You know, Caufield!! That was the Caufieldiest Caufield that ever Caufielded. Normally the Leafs couldn't out-Caufield a Caufield on the most Caufielding day of their lives with an electrified Caufield machine.

Great win, the odds keep getting stacked against us with injuries and we've been able to dig deep. Need to come back and win tomorrow, its just as crucial.

Caufield is gonna be a problem when he figures out how to find space 5 on 5.

They got injuries too. They lost Evans, Staal, and Lehkonen tonight. Every team is dealing with injuries.

Leafs were pretty awful in the first and third period. They won on a dominant second period and superb third period goaltending from Campbell. He gave up a stinker, but it didn't matter.

I was impressed by Kerfoot, Engvall, Simmonds and Nylander.

Marner and Thornton bring nothing to the powerplay. Marner did set up Rielly for the roofer that won the game, but beyond that, he was pretty bad all game long.

Didn't notice Matthews in a good way at all. Pretty invisible, disappointing to see that.

Our top paid guys were pretty meh while our secondary players were better.

I should be happy about a victory, but I don't know why, I just have that, "meh" feeling about it.

Glad they won though.

If they put in Andersen tomorrow after playing one game in two months, then management is essentially telling fans they don't care about winning. Simple as that.

If Andersen is in net, they'll lose.

First was meh, second was dominant, third was a travesty. They wouldn't get away with that kind of "defensive" effort against Winnipeg or Edmonton and they were lucky to make it out alive tonight. Don't wanna focus on it too much because that's not how they defended this year but if they revert to that style of hockey with leads it's going to end badly.

Leafs up 2-1, 2 more and they can wipe their hands of these guys. Nylander MVP, guy is a beast right now.

Let's goooo.

1st line just wasn't good enough. Matthews and Hyman were grinding hard out there, just couldn't get anything going. I'm really not sure what Marner did. He really needs to up his game. He has not been good enough. PP wasn't good enough.

Overall, we didn't play well. The 2nd period was good, but that was it. We can play better. We won though, and that's all that matters. Also, if we can win while only bringing our B game, then I like our odds to close out this series in 5 or 6.

My wife's garmin heart rate monitor had her heart rate at 116 and glad I didn't have my on as it would have doubled hers.

This Leaf team in the past would have given up the tying goal and lost in OT. They were able to sit back and defend played smart.

A few times they were soft getting it out but all in all never really gave up too many danger chances

Ridiculous that a coaching staff thinks this is how to protect a one goal lead. Have an advantage everywhere on the ice except in net so let’s fall back and not pressure a slow d core who struggles to move the puck. Glad for the win and lets put them on their heels for the entire game tomorrow.

Good game tonight, even if the third was a little messy. Power play didn’t score, but that’s more on Price I think.
