Not really; it's a pattern with this fanbase. We saw it with Gunnarsson (every time Carl had a bad game, people would attack Phaneuf) and with Gardiner (every time Jake had a bad game, people would attack Reilly).

You consider that the reason every coach we've had seems to get angry at Nylander might have something to do with his tendency to half-ass his defensive assignments on a regular basis on the assumption that as long as he's getting offensive chances, playing defense doesn't matter?
