That’s all you noticed? That he wasn’t very good??😂😂😭 atleast make it look better even if you feel different my friend
He wasn't very good, how can you make that look better or why would you want to?

The description of the two players is very telling one bottomed out and the other wasn’t very good either. Rather than they both succed which is a more accurate statement

Not sure what it's telling you but it seems you're imagining things.
Many had a poor showing last night, you can describe it however you like.

No money? No problem. In Toronto we use Dubasline. It has quick and easy advanced metrics tools to stretch your cap limits to the max and beyond.

On a serious note. No money no quality depth.

Lorentz is the best depth player we have right now and he makes pennies compared to Kampf and Reaves doing nothing for over 4mil. Good teams have cheap effective depth, the teams with premium expensive 4th lines are usually bubble teams.

Good teams also don't have an absurd amount of money tied up in 4 forwards, with plans to make them even more higher paid.

You will never, EVER have good depth with the core 4 + pawn shop squad model of building a team.

Found it interesting that Washington averages more than a goal per game but much worse PP.

Maybe been said but regardless of redundancy I’ll say that Domi and Marner need to be separated. That duo isn’t working and it’s time to shuffle the lines. There’s even more reason to do so since with Pacioretty out there’s no need to keep Nylander and Tavares glued together.

Gotta do something to spur 5 on 5 offence.
I'd like to see them give Knies - Tavares - Marner an extended run, even once Matthews comes back.
Berube doesn't seem too keen on having Domi and Nylander together though with good reason.

are we really arguing who was worse between marner and nylander? They both were awful who cares who was worse

be better today

Woll could use a good start here, stolarz was solid in a 3-0 loss so if he wants to fight for that 1A job, needs a good performance here

Washington has been shockingly impressive this season.

They now have a pretty deep roster with lots of talent.

This feels like a game that will be very tough to win on a back to back.

Yeah, some have this weird either/or, you can only like one or the other compulsion.
They both need to be better.

Matthews hasn't been very good, but Marner obviously hasn't picked up the slack 5 on 5 on the top line without him.

It would be forgivable if Marner and Matthews dominate, but for how expensive that line is, it's been a disappointment 5 on 5 for the last 2-3 years.

Knies is one of our true bright spots on the team this year outside of old guys. He's stapled to Marner and Matthews yet the results haven't been great.

If your 1st line is a 1st line winger, two franchise players, you expect utter domination.

Marner with Domi and Knies should be able to put up goals and points 5v5

Unfortunately, have to agree.
I feel like the Leafs usually play well in Washington, not sure if that's actually the case.

Nylander will bounce back, but we really need Domi to start chipping in.
For sure he will. It's just the dumb, disinterested plays at times that must drive the coach nuts.

I've never been much of a Domi fan, he is what he is.
