even a mediocre team like Washington who no one expected to do anything can surprise you but when it comes to the Leafs, you know what you're getting every time.

Leafs as a franchise rarely ever have unexpected seasons or go on unexpected runs. Think it's only happened a handful of times over the past 35 years. The '93 run and the 2016-17 season were surprising and fun, but that's about it.
