I think the biggest mistake the Leafs made that summer was they should have flipped the responsibilities. Hunter should have been in charge of trades and roster management, Dubas in charge of the draft

Well, this has been Toronto's achilles heel for years, if you clog the neutral zone against Toronto and force them to have to dump it in and battle for the puck, they have a tough time doing it, or they will just simply keep trying to make plays in the neutral zone and get countered.

I’m not planning parade or saying anyone is garbage bit leafs got hemmed in quite a bit. Powerplay was less than a minute - it was probably their onl my shot on PP.

It’s been reported for years man, Dubas and I think Babcock wanted Aho at that spot. Hunter who was in charge of the draft really believed in Dermott.

I remember being pissed because I wanted Carlo, RHD big, was NHL ready and we passed up on him. Either way we shit the bed on that pick, we had a ton of legit options at that pick and took a 7th dman.

Leafs IMO don't have the temerity to dump and chase. Ok let me clarify. They can dump but chase and dig for possession near the boards and fight for puck not sure about that....
