Series has been close and it was only close because the Leafs refuse to play playoff hockey or they just don't have it. Whatever the case Leafs need a new look. Gotta let both Marner walk as a UFA he can't be on this team anymore.

Tavares if he asks for anything more than 4.5 to 5 AAV he can walk too and get his bag somewhere else.

Matthews-Marner have played as a duo for pretty much all the series post babcock except ONE series in which Keefe decided to seprate them and guess what? Leafs won that series.

I do not understand the fascination coaches have with sticking marner and matthews together. Its downright STUPID and we have 8 years of evidence

P.S. Matthews+Marner+Nylander have 3 goals combined the entire series 5 games in. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!

Maybe he shouldn’t play on Thursday and see if he can be rested enough if they have to play Saturday. If they don’t play he gets even more rest.

From Game 1-4, I thought the Leafs controlled the flow throughout. Even in Game 4, when Ottawa was pressing and leapt out to that 2 goal lead (and then 3-2 lead in the 3rd), everything still felt very much in control.

It didn't tonight. This was all Ottawa absolutely suffocating our offence and I'd give them credit, except for the fact that we've seen this time, and time, and time again in the playoffs in years past. It is also impossible to understate how ridiculous it was to give up another (!!!) shorthanded goal.

There's nothing wrong with having bad game. There's nothing wrong with winning a series 4-2. But if we see tonight's bullshit in Game 6, then we might as well throw in the towel on this iteration the team, regardless of what happens in Game 7.

As I get older I don't feel the same rage at these types of games that I used to in high school. I think of my own life and how many times I've fumbled the bag. They're also only human at the end of the day. We've ran multiple rosters, made multiple changes, and yet no Leafs team has ever won 4 rounds of playoff hockey ever. There must be something rotten in the organization that transcends beyond just the current roster for this to carry on each year.
