Finished watching Black Mirror (including White Christmas). What a series. Every episode - apart from "The Waldo Moment" and "White Bear" - was television greatness and even "The Waldo Moment" and "White Bear" were very good. The standard set by the first episode was just amazing. Sickeningly shocking, yet I couldn't help but watch.

Can't wait for the series to continue on Netflix. Hopefully, the American adaptation continues the sheer brilliance set by the British version.

I still have to start episode 2, but I'm afraid if I start I won't be able to stop.

Episode 1 was terrific. Just wonderful. One thing I absolutely loved about it was the setting. Wish there were more games like Life is Strange.

Has anyone been watching The Ranch on Netflix. Such a good show. Plus it's Netflix so the language is not censored.

The quinoa quote in the trailer is almost enough for me to give the first episode a shot. And Sam Elliot's moustache is enough to seal the deal.

It looks a little...cheesy (not the ideal word I'm looking for) but I'll give it a shot

If you loved episode 1... I'll tell you you won't be able to stop, but it's well worth it. Episodes 2-4 are legit masterpieces... well, apart from...

[spoil]THE ****ING BOTTLES IN THE JUNKYARD IN EPISODE 2[/spoil]

Also (episode 5 spoilers)...

[spoil]The ending felt like an honest to god cop out in a way. The feels trip they do is amazing, but it's a feels trip to try and guilt you into taking the ending option that the devs want you to, which would basically render every previous choice you ever made irrelevant[/spoil]

For me White Bear was the most intense and I was on the edge of my seat for all of it which is why it's one of my favourites, but it is also probably one of the most unrealistic for me to see happening which I'm guessing why it was rated lower for you? As you said though, all episodes are fantastic.

Officially determined I am ****ed for my exam tomorrow. Fortunately I only need to get just under a 50% to stay in my program...

Probably just going to go into memorization mode for formulas, graphs and definitions and forget about the practice questions that I have continued to do.

Don't you just love when you have a textbook but it has no answers in the book or solutions available anywhere?

Memorization can only take you so far in physics and other math-based courses. You need to practice them to get your brain working in the right way that you recognize what to do when you see it.

Take it from me, I've been there before.

I've been wanting to watch Black Mirror for a while. Is it on American Netflix? I looked on Canadian a while ago and it wasn't.

Econ 2300 (Financial Markets).

Its not hard content which is the frustrating part. The biggest concern is going to be all the formulas and shifts of curves.

Its cumulative but I believe there was weighting on the newer stuff post midterm 2 (put/call options, futures contracts, SRA + SPRA, Bank/overnight loan rates + operating corridor) which is all relatively easy content on its own.

Unfortunately its going to be 5-6 questions (10 marks each) with parts a) b) c) that build off of other content.

Emailed the prof asking if we need to bring a financial calculator for the final (did for 1st midterm, didn't 2nd midterm, didn't specific if needed for final) and he told me that if there was a question from chapter 4 I would need it which fortunately allowed me to cut down 1 chapter to pretty much 1 option.

I'd agree but its not really a math focused course. Its an econ course with a decent amount of formulas but also a lot of curves and definitions.

I don't really know which route to take. The math is very basic and its not an issue. I actually don't know why I am struggling so hard right now, maybe its just the stress of this exam and I feel like I am having a harder time than I really am.

When I finish writting my master thesis, I have a plan to read NHL CBA. Might clear some things for me.

Multiple times I've had a similar plan...I've just never followed through on it. It intrigues me a lot though

Its actually not that long IIRC. I believe only about 60 pages. Unless I was looking at the wrong pdf it didn't seem too bad and I have probably read about 10-15 pages from it on UFA/RFA.
