But... we're supposed to lose this game..?? Hasn't history shown us, that this is the way..?? Pre-ordained, even...??!?!

They came out the gates flying, and hit the cruise button.. Big Berube made sure they didn't slide too much w the heavy handed timeout call... haha.. gotta love it!

At this point of their careers, Nylander is the most dynamic offensively. He will just never be on anyone's level defensively.

If we had the luxury of 1 more star in their prime for Nylander's line, Nylander would most likely lead the team in points by the end of the season.

Nylander himself says he has chemistry with Tavares. Nylander enjoyed his best seasons with Tavares. Domi had like 6 goals last year.

In two games they've combined for 4 goals and 9 points at ES.

Willy with JT 2 games: 1 shot, no points, +1.

Willy away from JT 2 games: 7 shots, 3 goals 1 assist, +5.
It is painfully obvious from the outside, and thats not against Tavares only against Tavares with Nylander, vice versa. Tavares and Pacman with Rob could be great.

Reaves getting his reps in a blowout game against a dud team.

When are the Leafs gonna play someone good. LA is the best team they've played so far. At some point it'd be nice to see how the Leafs match up against a real contender.

Looks like they're going with the diamond penalty kill this year.

They're collapsing less, instead aggressively attacking the points, including sending forecheckers in deep on the drop back pass. The idea is to disrupt the other team from getting into formation and force them to dump the puck in. The problem is that if the Leafs don't retrieve the puck it allows for low lateral plays by the opposition that are hard to stop.

McMann has been the most pleasant surprise so far.

I really hope he keeps it up. He's a good player who has earned a spot. Nice to see him get in there and muck things up a little.

Rather have him on the team than Reaves any day.
