The highly Devils or Bruins didn't fare much better against us.

I have never seen the team look so cohesive in the Dubas/Keefe era. And this is on top of receiving the best goaltending in this era too.

1.New Jersey has worked hard and deserves their success. I have a feeling that after Xmas, they'll cool off.

I appreciate Samsonov's personality: engaging, relaxed and confident. Never having been a goalie, I'd imagine these are excellent qualities to possess in a tandem situation. His comment that he and Murray are competing with each other, pushing each other for the betterment of the team, that's cool.


And Keefe is doing a great job of complimenting the boys for their success's. Singling out Holmberg and Timmins is a great way to motivate them to continue to improve. He was straight with the boys at the beginning of the year - not good enough - and he's now showing his appreciation for all their hard work. As players, you can't ask for more. And, their defensive structure is so solid right now. Maybe this guy can coach.

Very impressive game by the entire team but especially by some of our bottom 6. Terrific game by Reese, Kampf, and Holmberg. The goaltending has been stellar. The big 4 are playing like they care.

I'll say it again, something is different about this team....they've figured it out. The way they have to play to be successful.

If there are improvements to be made, Kerfoot and Engvall should be the first to go. Engvall was actually having a good game but then he decided to be a bonehead, kinda like Kerfoot always is.

Nylander has done board battles and drives the net all the time for years, people just love to live in the "soft perimeter" player narrative which was almost never true

In the name of consistency…. When we were a bit of a mess after 7-8 games, the sky was falling and everybody needed to be fired or traded… I said patience. 7-8 games is meaningless. Now, less than thirty games into the season, we’ve had one heck of a streak and firing on all cylinders…. It feels good, it’s fun to watch…. And it’s still equally meaningless. This is a qualification process for the playoffs, that’s all. By all means, enjoy this, but at the end of the day, all we will remember is the playoffs. I sure hope we finally have success, but no need to get too high, or low, in the ebbs and flows of a long season
