Started off slow but they got the job done.

Hutch was steady and I have to give him credit. He kept them in it after that bad goal he let in. Having said that, I will never be comfortable with him in the net.

At what point are fans of the opponents teams just forced to show respect for AM? Guy is an elite scorer, there is just no disputing it.
McDavid and Draisitl are certainly better playmakers and get the points, but AM has a world class shot and ability to be open.

I like to think opposition fan butt-hurtness is a form of respect.

I don’t know how anyone can hate Hutch.

He was absolutely brutal last year, in the massive spotlight of Toronto, and is run out of town.

Comes back the next year and has been rock solid in the third string role.

Also, JT is not 24 anymore. He'll need and rely more on support. His game has to change

Nylander constantly taking the easy way out.

I wouldn't say constantly to be fair, when he really put's his mind to it he's elite in all aspects of the game

called for a goalie trade after the 2nd goal against and while Hutch did play well he doesn't inspire confidence when Campbell is in nets. I guess I just gotta come to grips his play is chaotic and rebound control is.

Love the fact the Leafs win these type of games. Low even, ugly hockey. In the last couple of years they would have cheated for offence and lost big time. This year they just take what is given and work the game. I dunno if that is more voice like Jumbo, Brodie, Simmonds echoing what Spezza was trying to say last year. Ugly wins are just as good and sometimes better for confidence cause you can win ugly if your A game is not there

No doubt. When he's on he's on. I really liked Nylander with Matthews. They seem to enjoy each others game
Something about Wills game, he's missing a step or a jump
