Do you just hand it over to newly acquired Trouba and start game planning on which superstars in the tri state area to Dummy like a prime Scott Stevens or just accept your franchise is a feeder team and pick the guy with a huge viking beard and a ring? I'm saying who cares its California enjoy the waves.
Not true.......the problem is 21 games and 1 point.
If he is so important for fear and intimidation, why do good teams not bother with goons anymore?
I completely agree on Domi. He's not doing anything to contribute to our Leafs success. He needs to be leading our secondary scoring, and he's obviously NOT !!!I thought Reaves was pretty good again last night. (relative to expectation)
He finishes his checks and is obviously a pretty popular member of the team.
Find it pretty silly worrying about whether he's dressed or not.
Domi has brought absolutely nothing, he should be the one who's spot should be questioned.
He also looked great with O' Rielly seems he does well with a veteran that trys hard still. Two points. Fairly uninspired but we won.
Hope Stolarz is okay. Patches and JT looked great together.
To be fair he’s been back for 2 games and is playing with a rookie and Holmberg. That being said, he has been underwhelming in generalI completely agree on Domi. He's not doing anything to contribute to our Leafs success. He needs to be leading our secondary scoring, and he's obviously NOT !!!
He has the passing game to warrent a sniper and if that's not Robertson then I expect they will get him a guy by playoffs.I completely agree on Domi. He's not doing anything to contribute to our Leafs success. He needs to be leading our secondary scoring, and he's obviously NOT !!!
McMann can shoot the puck... he'll be on that line on Saturday, and then we can judge what we've got in this group. Holmberg does quite a few good things on the ice... but seems to be a black hole offensively this year. I suspect Robertson is done here, barring injuries. He has the passing game to warrent a sniper and if that's not Robertson then I expect they will get him a guy by playoffs.
Holmberg is good in the bottom 6 (preferably 4th line) His offensive skills are pretty non-existent, but he is sound defensively, forechecks well and draws penalties.Reaves probably played his best game in awhile. Nevertheless, either he or Holmberg should come out when McMann returns. However, I have a feeling Minten is the one and Holmberg will assume 3rd line centre. That makes me cringe.
That seems to be his best quality so far this year.Holmberg is good in the bottom 6 (preferably 4th line) His offensive skills are pretty non-existent, but he is sound defensively, forechecks well and draws penalties.
Not hitting people is not the same as avoiding contact. He takes hits, but just isn't a hitter. That doesn't make him a less effective player. No matter how hard you try to justify it Nylander with only one hit on the season is pathetic. There's no excuse for having such a low number. You would literally having to do everything you could to avoid physical contact.
If you think he's playing smart and safe to avoid injury I would advise you to replace the words "smart" and "safe" with "cowardly" and "spineless" and you would be on to something.
Not true.......
Washington: McIlrath
Florida: Gadjovich
NJ: McDermid
LA: Jeannot
go back a year or two - Tampa had Maroon and Jeannot at the same time, Boston had Maroon. NYR had/have Rempe
Holmberg is good in the bottom 6 (preferably 4th line) His offensive skills are pretty non-existent, but he is sound defensively, forechecks well and draws penalties.
It’s a Festivus miracleDon't often agree with you, but I agree with this.
Holmberg is a good player who can move around the lineup if needed, plays C/W, PKs, is good defensively, and has more offensive upside than a regular 4th liner, he is good in a limited role and can fill in somewhere in a pinch or late in the game higher up the lineup instead of a defensive liability.
We have depth, the 4th line should likely be some combination of Lorentz/Dewar - Kampf - Holmberg.
I do think his offensive skills are better than he has shown this year, he produced well before and was better offensively in the SHL, I think it is there, but ideally he is used in a more limited role.
He's just a more effective hockey player then Reaves.Pointy had a good game last night drawing two penalties and attempting to do something in the offensive zone. Not his usual lack of contribution.
""
Probably to be called up to the Leafs.
If he's slotted as the 3C, whoever is playing on that line will suffer. He's so bad offensively that if you're trying to get Domi, Robertson or even McMann going, it's not going to happen. That means we're not going to get any secondary scoring from our bottom 6. I agree that he's fine on the 4th line.Holmberg is good in the bottom 6 (preferably 4th line) His offensive skills are pretty non-existent, but he is sound defensively, forechecks well and draws penalties.
