Yea, Matthews is a big guy, he can handle Dubois on his own. But given the recurring hand injury, would be nice if someone else stepped up and took care of business.

Im really excited for Sandin's future, but if I remember correctly he looked excellent to start last year before dramatically slowing down until he got sent down to the AHL. Same thing with his midseason call-up.

He's likely going to be a real good one for us, but I'm not sold on him being for sure ij our 6 quite yet... Hutton & Liljegren should still get a few games so we can see what we have before the playoffs incase Sandin stutters down the stretch/in playoffs (assuming Bogo isn't back).

I was excited for the possibility of it before Brodie & Lehtonen signing, but I'd love to see Sandin-Liljegren as our 3rd pairing next year. Feel like way too many people are sleeping on Lilly and Dermott might end up out of luck. Still feel like Dermott should have a solid NHL career, but appears he's running out of time to take that next step for us given the defense competition.

Dubois is a punk. He had one strong 5 game stretch in the NHL play in bubble and cashed in on a contract and a ticket out of Columbus.

No chance PLD steps up to Simmonds. That's a death wish for somebody that doesn't fight. Maybe Muzzin, but no chance he drops them with Simmonds, IMO.

that someone else needs to be on teh line with matthews though. if keefe puts simmonds on matthews line almost an entire board here will have a meltdown because of corsi BS;

Matthews gotta learn to dish it too so other players will be wary of doing that to him in the future. if he keeps taking it without dishing other players will keep taking liberties
