Slaf was one of the better player tonight (and well in the 3 games he played outside that first period). RHP wasn't there tonight thought and Dach wasn't as on fire as the previous game.

Barron is taking himself out of the lineup. Mailloux has a chance I think.
Heineman was good, he shouldn’t be cut. They should see how he performs in a regular line up.
Feels like Farrell will be cut, had a good first and then couldn’t really show much more because of who he was playing with.

They should send him to Laval. Let him start the camp there from day one. He needs to be dominant there this season to become very good with us in due time.

And he should. I like him and the kid will be good, but 1 more year in the Swiss league won’t hurt.
It was the best Habs game in my opinion. Especially in the first period, it was the first time they managed to set plays in the O zone. Suzuki made a lot of questionnable decisions, same with Slaf and Dach but overall they played better than last night and better than vs OTT

The thing I find interesting is that last year the only thing that worked reliably multiple times on the PP was having Suzuki up high on the right with Caufield on the left half wall and Suzuki could skate in and play off the shot or cross seam pass to Caufield. So I am at a loss as to why Suzuki is in bumper, unless this is just pre-season experimenting.
i think it's one more high pick and a trade for another elite forward ..

Yes far away from Burrows Robidas and Houle who should all get fired soon.
I didn't say he was bad. More like a normal day-to-day Dach. Could shoot more thought.

TBH, I liked Slaf's game a lot, he was very involved. He's still super raw and the execution isnt always there, but he's doing 100% better than at the same time last year.

Nick had an off night as well.
Caufield was our best forward but I didn’t notice him much in the third. Trudeau was good so was Kojavec and Guehle. I thought Slaf was good too.
I also don't think RHP is a top 6 forward. his shooting % was off the charts in a no pressure situation last year. I'm not impressed right now
