If this were the Keefe Leafs, this game would be over already. Part of it is better goaltending, but a big part of it is a team structure that usually ensures that the game is never out of reach. It can be frustrating to watch, but it is effective.

you can't be serious

what about this game has been "team structure ensuring..." anything but woll having to make save after save.

The best way to play defence is to not be playing it. Being in your own zone giving up shot after shot is objectively bad, even if we pull out a win here

It's not at all. It's the Leafs boxing teams out and giving them lots of shots that ultimately produce very little. It looks a bit like Trotz's Islanders, who played a similar game with equally middle of the road goalies. I appreciate people think it's the goalies, but the structure of this team is night and day different than it was under Keefe.

I really think you just stop trying to make Laughton half decent offensively and run a 3A/3B and play them situationally...

3A (offense) - Robertson/Domi/Jarnkrok
3B (defense) - Lorentz/Kampf/Laughton

They are giving up grade A scoring chances, a lot close to the net, which is not boxing players out.
