I think he turtled after he threw one, he might have injured his hand there, we've seen it a few times him looking at his hand in the box.

There is nothing wrong with an identity from lines. He won't be fighting much, but getting in hard on the forecheck, throw some timely hits, make the game.tougher for opponents is a nice option to have. Chip in on the scoreboard once in awhile and you are worth your weight in gold. Just honest, blue collar hockey.

When T.B lost the third line their fans felt it was the reason they didn't win another Cup. Truth be told, they didn't even deserve to win the First Round.

In short, their bottom six is valuable beyond just keeping the score even. This game is a prime example when the top scorers are off, depth players can and will make a difference if a team is to succeed.

Fight aside, he also has 5 hits and all hits have been punishing hits.

His speed and body-checking ability is extremely noticeable. Something the leafs have lacked for years. He's even made ZAR look more punishing because even he's been more physical tonight than usual


Simmonds being in the lineup would not make Ritchie suddenly stop hitting

Regardless.of peoples opinion of Ritchie, he plays his game and he is a legit heavyweight. Not a fighter like Simmonds, but a heavy guy who uses his size. If he worked on his speed he would be in high demand.

Although I find almost EVERY commercial extremely weird these days . . . I don't have cable, only stream live sports, and that's when I see the ads (depending on where I'm streaming from). This world's going to hell in a handbasket I tell ya
