Sweeter in OT. Massive weight off the Leafs and their fans shoulders. Gorilla off their backs. Time to go on a run.

The drought makes this moment all the more sweet! Who would have thought that when Roenick scored that back breaker back in 04 that we would have to wait this long?

I think Mo would have rocked anyway but that said, Schenn has been amazing, much more than I expected and maybe even as you said, our most imporant acquisition.

Damn it feels good to win. I feel like other than Sammy, we got outplayed tonight though. We're going to have be a lot better going forward!
 




Context for Chris Bassitt tweet. He's a pitcher that plays for Toronto Blue Jays and said he's always enjoyed hockey but never had a team to cheer for. That has changed when he signed with Toronto this past off-season and now his favourite team is the Leafs.

Congrats Leafs. I feel we got outplayed 5 of the 6 games. I don't like this playing not to lose. We play better when we are attacking and playing more forceful going north. They were tight and gripping the stick too tight (nerves). Leafs did it and hopefully the confidence that was lacking is gained here. Timmy looked nervous and played not to make a mistake, clearing the puck out was an issue for him tonight.
As great as Matthews is he sure gets knocked down or dislodged from the puck alot. Needs more strength in that department. A little rest here before the next series will help the team regroup and develope the next strategy. Huge Monkey off the back , shouldn't be any reason not to go far this year. Go get it Leafs!
 
Man does this ever feel good. I’ll be honest I wasn’t super thrilled with the way they played but they got it done and that’s all that matters. GLG!!!!
