Which 3 are going on waivers to actually be the depth because we don't have the cap space to carry more than 7 D. Benn already has, so which other 2? Whichever 2 they are getting claimed.

Gustaffson is also kind of unneeded.

Timmins/Benn as extras seems fine to me. I'd rather collect some more picks and look at a long term contract from another team.

Wasn't a fan of Schenn while he was here (except immediately after the draft and early in his first year), but if he's improved since then as people have said, then welcome home.

Imagine the Leafs bringing back JVR to lineup next to O'Reilly (Knies with Tavares)? That would bring it all full circle haha.

Schenn was my favourite player after we drafted him. I was pretty torn when we dealt him for JVR although we got quite a few good years out of JVR. But I am so pumped to have Schenn back in the mix. We have wayyy too many D-men now tho. I want to see Schenn play.

I'm assuming more deals are coming. Gustafsson being flipped?

Assuming we can 12 forwards and 9 D roster seems strange. Feels like 1 of the D are still going out. With Schenn here now Benn won't be a thing, but Schenn, Gustafsson, and Timmins all in the press box seems like it's overkill.
