HELL YES. F**K BRAD FOR TRADING MINTEN AWAY FOR CARLO. NOT WORTH. Especially when you go on the Bruins board and they've been saying Carlo hasn't been good for a while. Lets hope that Carlo can find his game here, but trading Minten? That's just bad for Carlo and not someone better. I was just getting happy that Brad wasn't go do something dumb and then he does this. :shakehead :shakehead :shakehead
What do you expect minten to be? Because at best he likely peaks as a defensive 3c

He probably ends up as their 2C in 4-5 years, we will be facing him for a decent amount of time.
if he'll be Boston's 2nd line C that would be great news for us !

wishing all the best for the guy but he hasn't shown any offensive upside that he'll even be able to even produce at a 3rd line level never mind the 2nd line

We couldnt score on the powerplay last playoffs... are Carlo and Laughton going to fix this problem?
None of this fixes our powerplay.
The horrendous pp coaching and unwillingness for the organization to fire those responsible into the sun will absolutely be a difference maker that sinks us when it matters. We're do horse-poop bad on the pp.

Damn it's confirmed it's the 2026 1st? Hopefully we acquired some later round picks in return to give the scouts something to do
I don't know if it's confirmed, I was just responding to the rumor.

Minten and the '26 1st is no bueno consider how Carlo has regressed. Minten alone I don't give a shit either way.

I have never liked Minten as a prospect so getting Carlo asuming he bounces abck is a good bit of work

Dont see Minten being much more than Kampf is
I'm a WHL season ticket holder with Kelowna and got to watch Minten in person many times and I never understood the fascination with this player as well.

There is not a lot of high end skill here and a better shutdown checking player.

The risk of low and he settles in as a solid 3rd line player in the NHL that might hit 30ish points.

More 1st Rounders spent on a core that never gets it done.

One big difference is that I said if he goes long yardage, they need to have term. In this case both players do and at a good AAV.

I also said that he cannot give up Cowan. Even if he is traded someday, his value will be higher at that point I'm sure.

Now Leafs will have at least two cracks with the right types of players, and, if they have any dignity for themselves of the fans. they can move on from this core in the offseason if and when they fail to make the Finals.

They needed to get a big D Man and a fiesty 3rd line center and he did so. They have enough NHL ready depth that they can ensure injuries in all positions. That's a bonus.
