Oh absolutely not complaining. I'd take TSN every night if we had the choice. Johnson is cool because he is the closest thing we get to a homer announcer, he loves to mention anecdotes from his time playing here and gets excited. Cuthbert is goat, his call on Matthews 60th was amazing, soon as he curls at the blueline "here it is!"

I think it's just a content decision. The producers of the broadcast might simply prefer more time for the panel.

I like it, I am firmly in the anthems can go away camp. Not out of lack of respect but it doesn't make sense. Back in the day when the league was 99% North American sure. Now teams have players form all over the world. If we play Canada and US we should be playing Russia, Sweden, Finland etc NHL teams aren't representing the country when they play. Anthems make perfect sense in any international event as you are playing for the flag.
